Hospitals are generally more exposed in Korea, they can be on the same street as a supermarket, clothes shops or restaurants.
They are very distinctive and easy to spot by the patients in their gowns, pushing a drip or smoking while the world passes them by. If you are lucky you may come across a group of smokers equip with oxygen masks and tanks, puffing on a nicotine stick – always a good combination fire and oxygen. Seeing a drip person outside a hospital, or a small herd of them is accepted, certainly within the community, you may see them frequenting a corner store, pushing a drip down the noodle aisle.
